Kimberly Parillo has been teaching double bass lessons since 2007, through her private studio and previously for Amadeus Home Music School.  Her students have won awards at festivals and have also had success auditioning for various performing opportunities.

Mrs. Parillo is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where she completed her Master of Music degree in Double Bass Performance, studying with Ira Gold (National Symphony Orchestra).  Prior to her work at Peabody, Mrs. Parillo graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she studied with Glenn Dewey ("President's Own" U.S. Marine Band).

The past two years, Mrs. Parillo has been on faculty at Peabody Bass Works, an amazing summer program providing students with countless learning and performance opportunities at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore. She was also hired as the Adjunct Double Bass Faculty for Washington Adventist University in September of 2015.

Kimberly Parillo regularly performs with a number of ensembles in the area. She is a section bass member of the Maryland Symphony, and also frequently plays with other orchestras, including the Annapolis Symphony, the American Festival Pops Orchestra, the Fairfax Symphony, and a wide variety of other groups.
